Doesn't she look comfy?

Anna has been getting smarter by the day...she likes to pull her soother out of her mouth and hold on to it or fling it across the room (this gets very annoying because she whines as soon as the soother is out of her mouth), she has started to giggle alot, she can sit up on her own for a few seconds, she can lift her chest in a 90 degree angle when on her stomach, she's doing alot of baby talk, she grabs on to toys (and tries to stick them in her mouth), and she is so close to rolling over! When we put her in her crib she flips on her side and gets into this very uncomfortable looking position with her head back and arms out and she keeps trying to roll onto her stomach.

Last week was really rough, Anna was teething. Her cheeks were rosy, she had drool pouring out of her mouth, she was VERY whiny, and she would naw at anything put into her mouth (including my fingers on numerous occasions). I think it has passed for now...hopefully.

It seems like the older she gets the worse she sleeps at night, I have tried to "take control" but nothing is working. She is up pretty well every hour during the night. I need sleep!

Anna got her very first pool! With the heat wave going on it is so great to have it to cool her down.

Anna's Auntie Tiffany (a friend of mine) made her a beautiful new blanket (pic above) we will treasure it forever especially since it took her long hours of hard work (she is still new at blanket making).

Anna also got a ExerSaucer and a bouncy chair this weekend and she loves them! Our house is looking more like a daycare everyday with all of the baby toys every where. I used to think that I didn't want toys all over the place but it is so cute to see her playing in them and so exciting to see that she is developing so fast!

Anna's new thing this week is to hold her own bottle, she totally wants to be in control. It is cute but can get a little sloppy.

This week we said goodbye to Anna's bassinet, she hasn't slept in it in a while but we couldn't give it up because she was sleeping in the little sleeping bag that came with it. Well she has grown out of it her legs are to long and she just kicks it open at night. It was a very sad day because it made me realize how fast she is growing. We had borrowed the bassinet from my friend Pam and her daughter Chloe so we got a chance to visit with them when we returned it. They had so much fun together.

So, today was the first entire day and night without Mommy. Jen went to Birch Bay over night for a girls weekend, so it was just Daddy and Anna alone. I was pretty nervous, but I think I managed well, aside from that fact that I am writing this on Sunday morning around 6am!! Yesterday was fun, Anna and I pretty much just hung out and watched TV. Grandma and Grampa Dupuis came over with some friends so I could work on my Dad's friends computer. Really it was just another excuse for them, to come by and spend some time with Anna. My Dad's friends Patrick and Sharon were over and they just loved her. Anna was so good for them, no crying, no fusing, just all smiles. Once everyone left, I could tell Anna was tired, so I put her down for a little nap.

The nap lasted about 20 minutes, then she woke up for some food. I fed her a bottle then figured I needed some food as well. We took a walk down to the new Dominos Pizza for their special $3.99 pizza. Much to my surprise, the 2 minute drive turns into a 20 minute walk each way. The walk back was really tough since it was all up hill. But it was a good workout for me and Anna had a chance to see some new places. She didn't sleep at all in the stroller, so I knew once I got home, she would be good for her Exersaucer, then sleep for the night.

I put her down around 9:30PM and she slept until 1:30am, got up, fed her, changed her and she was sleeping again by 2am and back up by 5:30am. I figured I would get up as well, but now she is sleeping again...

Anna's new thing this week is to kick like crazy in the bath tub it is so cute she splashes around and has a lot of fun! She hasn't quite figured out how to kick in the pool yet but we'll keep trying.
Grandma Dupuis (Baba) got her a new play mat with a cushion that goes under her chest so that she can spend more time on her tummy it is really helping her learn how to keep her head up. She is getting so strong and her balance is getting better every day. She is able to hold her self up in a seated position for a few seconds before she starts to fall over.

Some exciting things happened this week...her second cousin Adrian was born on Thursday June 8th! We can't wait until we go to Ottawa in August to see him.

Anna got her ears pierced! It took almost two hours to do...the first ear was no problem because she didn't know what was going on but every time I would bring her near the "evil lady" with the piercing gun she would start to cry. I couldn't believe how smart she is...I would be on the other side of the store and she would be laughing and smiling and as soon as we came close to the lady she would freak out. Eventually we had to wait until she had fallen asleep in my arms and we got the second ear pierced followed by some high pitched crying. I know we are evil...but now she is even more beautiful! Actually we put this cream on her ears that numbs them for a few hours so she didn't feel a thing, it was more of the sound that startled her and made her cry. She doesn't even know they are there now...it was worth it.

I am going away over night for a girls weekend and so it will just be Daddy and Anna, I know they will have lot's of fun. I already miss her and I haven't left yet...it is going to be hard but I'm sure I will have a good time.

Happy 3 month Birthday Anna! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday we brought her home from the hospital...

Last Friday we had Anna's boyfriend Evan and her new friend Kiera and their parents Erin and Brian, and Kathleen and Anson over for a BBQ we all met at our Prenatal classes before the babies were born. Kiera was born the night before Anna and Evan was born approx. 40 minutes before Anna in the room next door. It is so amazing to see how the babies are all growing so fast they are all so cute and have their own little personalities.

This past week has been Daddy and Anna week because I've been sick for most of the time with the flu. Chad took such good care of her when I couldn't he even came home from work early one day so that I could get some rest. He is such a good dad.

Besides that Anna and I had a bubble bath in the "big bathtub" it was so much fun! We spent Monday and Tuesday doing what we do best with Grandma Schillaci...shopping! And we went over to visit with Grandma (Baba) and Grandpa Dupuis (Pepere) and played with all of the fun toys over there that Pepere has been collecting for Anna at all of the garage sales he goes to. We also went to a baby shower for my friend Shyla and Anna's new buddy Ayden and had a great time with all of the other babies. Anna has also tried a couple new things this week...She sits in her high chair and plays with her toys and she has been in her jolly jumper and is getting the hang of it!

Her new thing this week is to hold her hand straight out and stare at it in amazement.
